Hamblin's the third fastest two-stroke behind factory Kawasaki’s Byrne
& Stewart
CARLSBAD, Calif., (Aug. 23, 2005) – Monster Energy/Pro
Circuit/Kawasaki-backed Sean Hamblin scored his best finish of the season, this
past weekend racing to a 12th place overall 250 class finish at
Broome-Tioga Sports Center – Round Ten of the 2005 AMA Motocross Championship
presented by FMF.
Hamblin, aboard the only
competitive 250cc two-stroke bike on the circuit – the Kawasaki KX250 – was
able to overcome a couple rough starts en route to his top 15 moto finishes in
both motos. His best previous finish was at Round Two of the series at High
Point Raceway in Mt. Morris, Pa.
“My starts were horrible, but I
feel I did a pretty good job of racing back through the pack towards the
leaders,” said Hamblin. “I especially did well in the whoop section. That’s
where I was able to make up the most time and pass, or set up to pass, the guys
in front of me.”
Hamblin’s 18-point effort moved
him within one point of the overall top 25. He returns to racing action a week
from this Sunday (Sept. 4th) for the Monster Energy/Kawasaki Pro MX
National @ Steel City, Round 11 of the AMA Motocross Championship, presented by
FMF.
In addition to Monster Energy
Drinks, Pro Circuit and Kawasaki, Hamblin is proud to run the following
products: Fleetwood RV, Scion of El Cajon, Lost, Freestyle Watch Co., DNA,
Alloy, Six Six One, Shoei, Spy, One Industries, Tag Metals, Dunlop, Pro X,
